FAQ’S
When is a good time to start looking for my wedding dress?
We advise to start looking for your wedding dress around 12-15 months before your wedding. This is to take the pressure off you finding the one and to allow yourself plenty of time to look and try on different styles. Dresses take around 6-8 months to arrive in store from the point of ordering, then you will be invited back into the boutique to try on your very own dress once it arrives, with plenty of time left for you to book your fittings in with a seamstress. Don’t worry though if you have less than 6 months until your wedding day, as we always have plenty of sample gowns available to take away from the rail on the day of your appointment, and we will always do our best to go the extra mile and get certain dresses in quicker if it is possible!
How many guests can I bring with me to my appointment?
We recommend bringing up to 3 guests with you to your private bridal appointment. We are a small, intimate boutique so we don’t have lots of space for big groups, and too many opinions can be very overwhelming! We advise that you bring the people closest to you that know you best and who’s honesty you really value. You are even more than welcome to come alone if you feel that will help you!
What is your price range?
Some of our designers such as Veni Infantino are at the lower end of our price range, starting from £1350. We then have our mid-range designers such as Blue by Enzoani starting from £2200, with our higher price point designers such as Enzoani main ranging from £2400-£4000. We also have many highly discounted sample gowns available to purchase on the day for our brides watching their budget or who need a dress quickly.
Do I have to book in for an appointment or do you accept walk-ins?
We are very busy with bridal appointments throughout the week and weekends, and we don’t want people walking into your private appointment, so we don’t accept walk-ins. You can book online through our easy booking system to find a date and time that suits you, and then you can really prepare and look forward to your private 1.5 hour experience with us.
Do you charge for a bridal appointment?
We charge a small fee of £20 to cover amenities such as our expert knowledge, private use of the boutique, dress try ons, refreshments and goody bags. This will be taken at the point of booking your private appointment.
How will my appointment work?
Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of our dedicated team members, who will offer you a complimentary drink and allow you to get comfortable in the boutique. We will then go through your bridal notes with you, chat about what you are liking and have a look through any inspo you have saved. You will then be given a gown to change into and we will pull around 6-7 different dresses for you to try on. Once we have a better understanding of what you are liking and not liking we can really narrow it down and hopefully find you the one you say yes to the dress to! Then onto the celebrations – bubbles, goody bags and photo opportunities!
Do you provide a fitting service?
We have a list of recommended bridal seamstresses that we regularly work with and fully trust with our brides’ special dresses, this list will be given to you at your appointment in your goody bag once you say yes to the dress. You can then choose which bridal seamstress suits you and ring them to book your first fitting, or alternatively you can find your own bridal seamstress local to you.
How do I pay?
If you find your perfect dress with us, we require a 50% deposit to secure your order and then your balance isn’t due until your dress arrives in store. Once it arrives we will contact you to arrange coming in to try it on again and pay your balance, and then the dress is all yours to take home! If you are to have a highly discounted sample gown, they require full payment on the day and then the dress is all yours to take home with you!
I don’t know where to begin, help!
We would advise you to start by narrowing it down to what designers you are interested in and what styles you are drawn to. Social media and Pinterest are great places to get a feel for designers and take aspects that you like from dresses. Saving inspo for us to see really helps us to get an idea of what you are liking as a bride and helps you to get the most out of your appointment. Don’t forget to follow us on our socials as we have our bridal consultant Sophie modelling our gowns to help you get a much better idea of how they fit on a real person!
Do you have parking?
As we are in the town centre of Uttoxeter we don’t have customer parking but there are several close carparks in walking distance of our boutique. We recommend The Maltings car park, postcode ST14 7QD.
